At the end of May 2008, the east Hamburg opened a new, exclusive design location: the uppereast event hall. The idea may have been based on high-end clubs in London and New York, but the result is simply unique. 150 square metres of LED walls, state-of-the-art technology valued at 1.9 million euros and the 34-metre long bar combine to create something spectacular.
The huge LED walls transport visitors through a variety of worlds. Whether you want to celebrate in a casino, in New York, at an airport, or in a music video: the uppereast makes it all possible, turning the illusion into reality. Of course, this sumptuous location is also designed to accommodate total immersion in a corporate identity. The screens can display pictures, image films, logos, animation or moods in corporate colours.
Thus, a multimedia event hall has come to being in the fourth floor of our design hotel. The east-makers have converted this stunning concept in collaboration with set designer Florian Wieder, Munich-based installation artist Jerry Appelt and the Procon Event Engineering company. An exciting, changeable scene location has been created, covering 350-square meters of floor space. The uppereast has catapulted Hamburg’s east into the top league of event locations.
The technology available here for clients is only usually found in TV studios. Accommodating 200-600 guests, the uppereast is unique can be booked for both private and business occasions. |
